have you switched off your PS3 yet?

i'd do that and then try to update again. maybe you lost your internetconnection during the updateprocess.

calling all cars is great fun and you can play it online. tekken is also very good and i'm hearing good things about stardust HD, but i haven't played it yet.

you can't do wrong with any of these three. depends on which genres you like.

as oblivion gives you a playtime of about 200hours i'd suggest you get this one. but actually you must know what you wanna play. want a tactical shooter or a massive RPG? both games are excellent in what they're trying to do. i for once would pick oblivion over RB6 again and again.

let me put it this way:

if you plan on playing online with your console, you're gonna end up paying 50 bucks for xbox live every year. let's say you play online for 4 years, that would make 200$. count that to the 400$ price tag of the 360, and you've got the price of a PS3.

in the end, it really comes down to which exclusives you'd like to play. fancy halo, gears, forza and mass effect - go for the box.

like to kick helghast asses in killzone, sneak around in MGS, race on grand valley speed way in GT5 or explore the jungle in uncharted - get a PS3.

it's a tough decision and if you really need sby who tells you what to get, i'd say get the PS3. it's hardware seems to be more solid alongside with other small advantages. espescially the noise lvl is sth that really annoys me when playing xbox360. there are people though who don't bother with that so honestly, i can't really help you out there.

oh i'm sry for giving wrong info on this topic, i really didn't know you can copy save games to another PS3-nick.

as for your question:

it's really no problem. you can setup your first PSN account for kazakhstan and just see if you can download GTHD. if not, simply make another PS3-nick with which you can then make another PSN-account. there youcan choose another location like the US or canada and you get to download all the things northamericans are enjoying. your best bet would be to make a KZ, a US and aJP account. thus you should be able to download everything there is on PSN - as long as it's free.

i actually chose every system as i own a wii and an xbox360 too. nonetheless i have to say, that i like the PS3 the best, because

it's on par if not superiour to the xbox360 graphically.

it's significantly less noisy than the MS console.

it doesn't brake every 6 months (currently waiting for my 3rd xbox).

it has a blu ray disc drive which will be nice once i own a decent HDTV (currently playing on a TFT monitor).

the online service is free of charge, which i'm used to from PS2 and PC gaming.

the HDD is interchangeable and even out of the box larger than 360's HDD. so i don't have to delete stuff (shivering isles + GRAW 2 update are pretty big - running out of space in 3 or 4 years not that unlikely)

this is all just compared to the xbox360 as the wii os a bit out of the competition in most aspects. i do have a lot of fun though with all three of my consoles, as there are great exclusives for all of them, which is why i bought all systems in the first place. nonetheless the PS3 seems to be the technically most advanced, which is why i see the most potential in the sony console.

afaik saved games are bound to your PS3-nick (not your PSN ID mind you). so PS3-nick A can't continue a saved game of PS3-nick B.

by PS3-nick i mean the ones you choose when turning on your PS3. i can't think of a better term right now.
