HDMI (High Definition Multimedia Interface) and DVI (Digital Visual Interface) are exactly the same thing!!!!!!! They both send the image data digitally to the tv or monitor in the same way. Same image quality the only difference is that a DVI cable does not carry any audio. You might find a marginal lose of picture quality on lower-end cables but that's about it.
