What are some good First Person Shooters that aren't futuristic, but are more modern?

[QUOTE="Shinoadr"]Xbox Live is totally worth every penny. Go for it, and he will never turn back.Mau-Justice

Yea, Xbox live is well worth it. With a busy life, it just comes down to how addicted you get. CoD4 is a good start.

Well i'll have CoD 4 plus the new Burnout, GTAIV, NBA2k8, Halo 3, Gears of War, Tiger woods and NBA Street Homecourt, so are those good starter games? Plus i just bought a new 28'' HDTV

well as long as you have a router and a ethernet cable that reaches it or a wireless network adapter, you can sign up.

as for those games, most are good for online play, especially the shooters. i would reccomend getting call of duty for for the online play as well.

Well I have a Router, but not an ethernet cable, but i couldn't run a cable from my xbox to my compter because it'd go right through the house and my mom wouldn't let me. I've heard alot of good things about call of duty, how is the single player?

So my basketball season is over now and i'm back to being able to work after school and have money again, so i was wondering if, when I go out to buy my copy of the new Burnout game if I should go ahead and buy a wireless router or whatever it is and go ahead and get Xbox Live. I already have Halo 3, Gears of War, NBA 2k8, NCAA Football 08, NBA Street Homecourt, Tiger Woods 07 and Guitar Hero II. So would I enjoy Xbox live with all of these games, or should I buy Xbox live and different games?
