@so_hai @cailebb Ok I can roll with this. I see where your coming from but your missing the point. This isn't about getting what you pay for regarding software. But I will play this silly game. When you look at the side or back of the box you see a recommended and minimum specification. But its all one price. It supports various specifications, but in one box with one price.

@so_hai @cailebb Does CoD cost more for X1 than PS4? I honestly do not know. I mean the consoles are "similar" regarding specifications, but not exact. PS4 went with a current gen architecture, which of course would cost more. I am a PC gamer. If you want better performance you gotta pay the price. Best part of the PC side is that you only have to upgrade and not totally replace. All in all though, hardware aside, its about the games. I got Xbox because I wanted to play Halo. I got the PS3 because I wanted to play Metal Gear. It's the exclusive titles that could make a big difference. If not a big difference, it will certainly be a factor.

This whole fight would never have come about if X1 did not go cheaper and choose a last gen graphics hardware architecture for a next gen console. They win in the less expensive console category, which was important for them. I mean after all cheaper is better right? Oh wait, you get what you pay for.

1080p is greater than 720p. Hands down. If you were given the capability to run at 1080p, why downscale to 720p? Framerates are the talk and its understandable. I want framerates too. This is about hardware and its performance though. PS4 has a stronger capability of performing at higher resolution with more consistency than X1. Regarding all the talk about not noticing the difference? Take a side by side with both televisions in front of you. You WILL notice the difference. Nonetheless, higher resolutions are greater than lower resolutions. It's hardware capability. PS4 wins the hardware fight.

Many games are geared towards consoles as they hold the market for sales. If consoles were not in existence, graphics you see in games today would be far beyond what you see in today's titles. I am glad these next-gen consoles are coming out because it will set a new bar on graphics and visual effects being developed today, which is hindered by console limitations. PC power is far beyond what you see in today's and even upcoming future titles.

@valium88 @Alecmrhand @cailebb I understand your point. I agree with you that BF is built upon a multiplayer concept. But one of Dice's first introductions to BF4 was the footage of the beginning 17 minutes of the game. If they did not plan for fans to expect a reasonable single player campaign, they should have not teased with the single player footage. They marketed the single player campaign, as well as the multiplayer. There were expectations for both, to be fair with this. I've no complaints for the multiplayer, but the single player was certainly bad enough for me to finally create an account on Gamespot and comment on... So here I am! HAHA!

@Alecmrhand @cailebb Yes I did. To me the dialogue and voice acting was better. I only judge that based on that I did not notice it nearly as bad as when I started playing BF4. It was right from the get go when one of characters said something about sacrificing the wolf or whatnot. Listening to their voice acting makes me cringe throughout. I cant recall if it was this review or another that I watched, but I recall them saying something about it being good when they are serious in the moment of the gameplay. I am still waiting on that moment.... heh...

Ok so this is my first post and I am joining in on the madness. I play on PC and so far the multiple is awesome. While in my opinion the BF series is more for the multiplayer side of the game, which is perfectly fine, I feel like I need to comment on the single player side.

I do not know who the voice actors were, but I felt like i was listening to a B rated lame film while trying to sleep. They are horrible! The amount of time I played the single player the whole time i was wondering "Why do the characters have to narrate everything that is going on around them?" Rather than the character just doing what needs to be done, they feel that they needed to mention what it is they are doing, such as opening a door "I am going to open the door" or helping you open the hatch "Here let me help you open the hatch". "Here are the steps, lets climb them". I mean come on! It seems like the voice actors were watching the game, holding a microphone, and ad-libbed without a script. Their comedy isn't even funny. And when they are being serious, its more funny than their comedy. Its a joke.

It's a good thing that the multiplayer is where its at. If this game was going to be rated for single player purposes only, it would be best described as amateur storytelling, lousy actors, antidramatic (they tried too hard), and laughable military jargon mixed in to a very beautifully crafted graphics engine.
