@rage_phace: As far as I remember it was mainly an RPG game. However whenever you encountered an enemy the screen would sorta zip to the side and you would be in a sort of fighting scenario, arena style.

To answer; it was 3D, kinda reminded me of kingdom heart with the art style.

Definitely not pixelated at all, I’m thinking 3D polygon.

If it helps it seemed to have a sort of mash up of sci-Fi and fantasy? Heck it could be fighting fantasy for all I know haha.

so if you’ve jumped onto my question, thank you so much for giving my issue a go! for context, I’ll list what little I remember about what happens in the game in chronological order.

So, PS2 game, old as heck anime kinda style, I’m thinking early 2000s? Maybe?

The game starts you and one other person in a simulation, fighting monsters.

you both exit after winning, and you find you’re in a sort of futuristic resort. The girl is either a love interest, girlfriend or a sister (hopefully not a combination)

she heads to her room, you wait outside for her to get ready.

You look outside and there is this long beach full of people from all over, including alien people.

After a while of milling around, the place comes under attack, and a huge ship decends from the sky.

You all rush to escape pods, but as far as I’m aware you get separated from your family.

You head to a refuge ship, and watch from afar as a huge space battle takes place. You wander round and meet loads of kooky characters.

Just before your ship can jump away, an enemy ship attacks. You get into another escape pod and head away to a distant planet; alone.

You crash in a forest and create some sort of sci-fi sword for yourself.

You get attacked by blobs and pass out.

You wake up with some nearby farmers, who take care of you.
