I know this is a late answer to your question...but, I have had that problem doing a Los Carnales stronghold. Everytime I tried to start the stronghold, it would freeze. How I fixed my freezing problem was, I cleaned my SR disc (Made sure there were no fingerprints/dust). It played fine after that. I haven't had a problem since. Try that. (If it isn't already working)
Wow! You are lucky! Where did you catch the shrimp? We've been fishing at the island, and we've tried fishing off every part of the island, but all we catch are usually squid, sardines, mackeral and opaleye.

Hi, I was wondering if anyone could help me. My mom and I are playing Magical Melody and we are on our 10th year, going on our 11th, and we have not caught a shrimp yet. Is this normal? Has anyone else went this long? The shrimp is the last fish we need for our last note. We've been fishing at the island daily. It is getting discouraging as it has already been a long time.
