I definitely prefer the modern ones (4, 5, and Revelations). The older games are awful.

I wouldn't compare it to Activision. COD releases every year, BF doesnt.

Battlefield 4 will release 2 years after BF3 so it doesnt make sense to compare it to Activision & CODs yearly releases unless BF was releasing a new iteraion every year.

I could care less about another BF. For one the Bad Company series is way better & i would nuch prefer that, & two i dont need anymore BF right now, or military shooters in general.

I have BF 1943, BFBC Vietnam, BFBC 1 & BFBC 2, & BF3. Enough with the milkage. Even being a big fan of the series i wont buy another BF for at least a few years. Maybe next generation i will buy one more. Enough is enough though.

Going all the way back as far as you like.

I'll start with the SNES/SEGA era:

Super Double Dragon, TMNT4: Turtles In Time, Super Mario World ( SNES )

Mariokart 64, Ocarina of Time, Duke Nuken 64 ( N64 )

Splinter Cell Chaos Theory, 007 Everything Or Nothing, GTA San Andreas ( XBOX )

Oblivion, Deus Ex HR, & Hitman Blood Money ( 360 )

Whats your games?

True, I barely paid attention to the story half the time. Also any game that tries to justify sending almost an entire city's worth of police after someone who free-runs is stupid anyway.

The story was a means to an end and tried to justify the gameplay cos no one likes random levels with no connection. It did it's purpose but it's awful

seanmcloughlin

It was there to justfiy the gameplay but i still believe what the were able to do was amazing, when considering making a story to coincide with that gameplay must have been extremely hard. I actually found the story very good & interesting, much better than i thought they would have been able to produce given the context of the game.

I still love the ending too. One of my favorite endings of all time.

Same game. The difference being is you're a more confined Batman. You dont get a big free romaing city to fly around in & for that reason you feel a little less like Batman. You'll miss the dive bombs & being able to fly around the city.

Besides that the game is actually better in some instances. Its a more focused, more linear game, for that reason the linear sections are actually better & better designed than the linear sections of AC. There's more of them too. You'll find more situations in which you must infiltrate & kill but be much more sneaky & strategic about it.

You didnt get those same amazing sections in AC in which you must really take your time to plan out your actions, really examine the area & the choices you can use to clear out each section of baddies.

I own every single Halo game ever made but... man, Halo 4 looked absolutely unispired to me. Yellow goo-filled exploding enemies? Again? Really? At least Black Ops 2 has horses and giant robots in the same game.Black_Knight_00

I have played through the entire series & i thought Halo 4 looked to be the best one yet. I just have a feeling 343 is going to put Bungie to shame. IM not looking forward to it as its fits the mold of typical shooter for me, but if anything i thought the last 4 Halo games were uninspired & felt too much the same.
