Can you feel the excitement in the air this year? I like what I saw in Sony's press event and looking forward to what Microsoft is going to reveal! It would be great if for the next console releases, they invite the community in from the beginning of the development, like on Kickstarter.

@Zloth2 @shnelle That seems like the most logical way this would work, otherwise the community will be up in arms against Sony.

@Armyboy5 what's wrong with the controller? I am a current Xbox 360 owner and don't have any experience with the PS3 controller.

Looking forward to the excitement the announcements of the new next-gen consoles will bring to the industry this year. It took a bit too long. I hope that Sony and Microsoft had enough time to get things perfect with these new systems.

Although firenze419's comment is exaggerated, I agree with his point of view regarding the cost of keeping up with the hardware needed to run new high-end games on the PC, which are mostly available on game consoles. I'd like to add that personally, after playing games on a PC for over 20 years, I prefer the simplicity of grabbing my wireless gamepad sitting on a comfortable couch, pressing one button and getting into my game.
