And the haters were so confident that it was going to fail. I remember an article when Nintendo predicted it would sell 40 million units in 3 years and people were laughing at Nintendo saying it wouldn't come close to that. Now it seems that number will end up being higher.
There are even still a few haters who are in denial about the Switch's success. They kept saying "it's gonna fail in 3 months" and then "it's gonna fail in 6 months" and then "it's gonna fail during the holiday season" and then "the sales are gonna plateau eventually and it's going to fail." It's just hilarious how they all thought this was going to be Nintendo's last console.
@RevolverCasemir: Don't be an idiot. Actually play the game and then decide on whether or not it's an outlast/p.t clone. You can't judge a game just based off a gameplay video you saw because watching a video about this game and actually playing the game are two totally different experiences and if you actually played the game, then you'll see that it's completely different from outlast and p.t. Being in first person doesn't automatically mean it has to be a horror clone.
Anyone who says this game is similar to games like Outlast is a complete and total idiot. RE7 is nothing like Outlast. Oh wait, just because it's first person that automatically means it's an Outlast/P.T clone? Maybe actually play the game and you'll see that RE7 plays nothing like Outlast and plays much more like the old Resident Evil games. Just because it's first person doesn't mean it's not Resident Evil and RE7 plays much closer to a traditional RE game than RE6 does.
@Xristophoros: Except the majority of people that played DID hate it. The general reception was that the game was crap and that the only good thing about it was the graphics. Just because you liked it doesn't mean the majority liked it. Bad games sell all the time.

The Nintendo haters are the dumbest people ever. First off, this is just a rumor. Nintendo didn't officially announce that this is true. Remember the leaked NX controller? People just assumed it was true and that it was the real NX controller but then Nintendo confirmed that those photos were fake. Why are you people just assuming these things? Maybe it's because they're also saying things like "R.I.P Nintendo's hardware" and stupid things like that. They clearly want Nintendo to fail in the hardware department so they're believing every rumor that they hear. I recommend to you people to stop believing every rumor that you hear just so you can hate on Nintendo some more.
Does Ubisoft understand that Watch Dogs only got good sales because of the massive amounts of hype and trickery that went on. Ubisoft made people think Watch Dogs was the greatest open world game of all time and I'm pretty sure everyone who thought that was extremely disappointed when it was much much much less than the greatest thing to happen to open world gaming. If people really knew what kind of game Watch Dogs really was then I don't think it would've gotten nearly the high amounts of sales especially considering most of those sales were from pre-orders (from people who were fooled by the trailers).
Watch Dogs 2 may be good but after all the hype that the first one had and after the huge let down that it was, I'm not holding my breath.
