I just saw this too on Xbox.com. This is interesting, but I wonder how it works. One part says to be online playing games for 10 hours or so this month. I've only played like 2. So I should see if it works automatically or not.

Maybe in America, or maybe not, based just on the name Master Chief... a picture would be more recognizable, perhaps. I know a lot of "average Americans" who would think military and say "Master Chief who?" long before making a video game reference. And That's probably even more in countries that aren't America. People in the gaming scene would know what you meant by Master Chief, and people who played the games might know John 117, while people completely out of touch with gaming might recognise a picture as "that Halo guy." Likewise, People who have played the game, obviously know Nathan Drake, and I'd say most of the vg scene, but some might simply know him as that Uncharted dude, or that Bro Raider dude. And people out of touch with gaming? Well, MC has been plastered on sodas and fountain drinks for going on a decade, versus Drake being the new guy, but I bet some people would recognise his picture... especially if you put a Subway cup in his hand, or had him doing the 5 dollar footlong dance... ;)

I think it was when its was confirmed to be shipped before. The cows fell on their face. Than you posted the update from IGN, which gave so many cows hope and excitement that it was true that it was sold to consumers. Then its was official unveiled that the numbers are shipped. And cows hopes were dashed again.
This needs to be dragged out more. Maybe a different rep will state it was sold again. Here's hoping.

The Uncharted series is nowhere near as popular or mainstream as Halo. If you mentioned Nathan Drake to the average American, all you'd get is a blank stare.
These sales are bogus. 3.8 million sold to retailers, maybe. But not 3.8 million sold to consumers.
