Ummm its not that hard to understand. The PS3 is the best Blu-ray player at the market right now. HD-TVs are one of the hottest things on the market right now. People with HD-TVs will probably want Blu-ray players. $$$

BC as an argument FOR the PS3??? What PS3 is currently in production that is backwards compatible? The answer to that is NONE. BC has still never been confirmed for the new DS3 sku.
Both are amazing. People don't like Halo's for some odd reason, but I really think that it is one of the first great sci-fi story of this century. Half-Life would also be the same.
Half-Life and Halo both have just increadable stories that no movie has passed yet (I don't read sci-fi novels, I am sure those are 100x better like they always are).

Movies: Invasion of the Body Snatchers (sure, it's an adaptation, but the remakes are only loosely adapted to the books. I'm talking mostly about the 1978 remake) 2001: A Space Odyssey Terminator 1 and 2. The Matrix Oh, and let's not forget the mother of all science fiction franchises. The Alien franchise.

I meant more of the things I hear from my doctor and nursing friends who used to work in hospitals. Though I think even talking about what some parents did to their kids would get me banned for talking about it.
