@Coco_pierrot Nintendo was not the first to do any of those things. They were just the most widely known at the time they did it, because they were a more well established brand. Even if they were the first (which they obviously were not), to say we wouldn't have more than 3 buttons or analog sticks on the controller if not for them, is pretty stupid, as if nobody else would have thought of those things in the last 20 years.

@Micropixel He didn't say Nintendo is irrelevant. He said they are irrelevant as a console manufacturer, because their consoles are shit. The only reason to buy a Nintendo console is to play Nintendo games. But if Nintendo made games for other systems instead, they would be at least as good but probably better and we wouldn't have to waste money on a shitty console just to play them.
