I don't want to say "people feel before they think," because I do that a lot. But as somebody who does that a lot, I've noticed that other people like to do it, too.
If the fact that people are talking about this (even if they're not happy about it) is any indication, there's at least some interest in the show. Not that "all publicity is good publicity" (there was no such thing as "good publicity" in 2017), but if there's the potential for people to watch something out of spite, that still counts as some form of viewership.
Which means that, to this guy's chagrin, the show will probably be huge in some capacity. I'm sorry, dude, but if you feel compelled to say that you don't like something (and other people do, too), I don't think it's going to be a flop.
The thing about the Switch (its whole M.O.) is that you have to be willing to make the compromise of playing lesser versions of games if you want to enjoy them in a handheld form factor. This can be okay, but there's a certain threshold where the setbacks made to a port eat into the overall experience.
If the word of mouth is anything to go off of, I'm glad I decided to wait.
I was suuuper tempted to buy this for my Switch. Classic GTA on my Switch? Sign me the hell up! But I didn't want to pre-order it because I was hoping to save some money. It's a good thing that I didn't: on top of these remasters being... the way that they are, apparently they're even worse on the Switch.
