[QUOTE="RockysCatnipCo"]I'm getting sound but no picture on my VGA and component cables. I did all the troubleshooting steps on their website and It's still not working. Any help would be appreciatedFood_Nipple

were you playing a game and suddenly the picture went all crazy technicolor? Let me guess, you turned it off and turned it back on and no picture. The same thing happened to me yesterday and I have to pay M$ $105 to fix it. I have a theory about this. Anyone who had this problem during a Halo 3 match and/or were using VGA cables please respond. I think this may be the problem because I was using VGA and every single report of this I have heard of came from Halo 3

Halo 3 match. Component cables. Same thing!

My XBOX360 has stop working today.
It is unlike any problems I haveseen before... So I'm asking for help...

Ihear the audio on bootup, but I get no picture.

I only see shakeypurple-coloredlinesdisplayed across the screen on HD.
The same thing happens on standard. But it's gray and grainy.

I have verified that it's on the correct HD/STANDARD switch and the coponent cables go into the correct ports.
The XBOX operates as if it's runiing normal, with no red rings or anything.

It seems like it should work, but there is no picture.
I have tried two different TVs. And even bought another set of component cables.
I've tired cleaning the cables too.

I called support, but of course, it would cost $99 because it's not the rings of death and I have an original XBOX.

Is there anyway I can fix it, or something else I could try?

If I had no other option, should I get it repaired, or invest in a new one?

What would get me an XBOX360 that won't do this again, the cheapest way possible?

Thanks in advance for any help.
