Spyro is one of my favorite series!!

I especially love the third one with the skateboard parks. I poured too many hours messing around those parks!

I personally would skip the first one and move straight to Far Cry 2, and then skip straight to Far Cry 5.

@timemasheen: Age isn't kind to us unfortunately. When my nephews got a PS3, I gave them my Crash Bandicoot and Spyro games. Seeing the joy it brings them gives me a taste of the old tingly feeling of excitement that I got back in the 90s.

Nothing has surpassed Thief or Metal Gear Solid in stealth mechanics.

This was an era that hit a sweet spot in terms of difficulty levels. You had a selection of relaxing, yet adult-friendly games like Spyro and Crash. And then the higher difficulty selection like Resident Evil, Zelda or the PC games.

I think Tomb Raider III and Medievil deserved a mention too.

The latest Tomb Raider game shows that the series is falling a bit behind the times.

I know I have the benefit of hindsight, but this comment couldn't have been more wrong.
