Yeah it could be interesting but I would be concerned about the quality. EA seems to get the rules of rugby horribly wrong. Even though Jonah Lomu has aging graphics its still probably the best rugby game around, so PSN could be an option for that one. Pretty sure it was made by codemasters and they haven't made one since so doubt you will see another from them. Go All Blacks!
I only buy used games these days. This is mainly because I am from New Zealand and games usually come out a lot later than US and sometimes don't come out at all. So by the time that the game is released here anyone who would have brought the game new has already purchased a second hand game (often factory sealed) and so sale figures are smaller. I reckon to improve sales there needs to be more effort in world wide release. Also, the other consoles are generally region coded (psp games not) so PAL regions must wait anyway for their version of the game.
