It's not about logic or preferences... it's about the fact that we, humans, are an omnivorous species, which means that meat is a normal and necessary part of our diet. People who harm their own health with long-term radical vegetarian diets should really go to school and learn some basics about that, as well as about the human body and its digestive system. After a certain point, there is no medicine or technology currently available that can invert the damaged caused.

I'm really crossing my fingers about the upcoming XCOM game. I say keep the gameplay basics of the original with updated graphics and stuff and everything should go alright. If they change the core gameplay they'll likely screw it. By that I certainly mean to include the fantastically addictive, top quality turn-based combat system which form what this game is all about. I suppose that they can add options for younger kids, casual players and company executives to play in a appropriately simplified real-time mode, like it was done with Apocalypse. That way they should be able to maximize their target audience and make everyone happy. I've already experienced a few frustrating disappointments about remakes which ruin the magic of the original (the most recent ones being the crappy new Syndicate and Jagged Alliance), so I hope they don't botch this one too. I know that these companies do what they do to try and extend their products to different segments of the public, but it doesn't seem very intelligent to do it in such a way that in order to reach a new segment of people, they alienate another (which is exactly what they'd do, if they dumped the successfully tested and tried turn-based combat system in favor of real-time action only). What do you guys think ?

This game failed big time for me. Not only it has nothing to do with the original Syndicate in terms of gameplay, but it's not even that good as an action game and there's certainly better out there in that genre.
