Out of FFI-VI, I'd say that FFIV was the best. That game has an awesome story. FFVI would be next

This is a really easy decision for me. I play FF games for the storyline first. If it's got a good story, I can live with a crappy battle system. But if it's got a bad story, sometimes I won't even finish the game (FFXII)

I'd almost always choose haste over wall. I always have a kickass white mage anyway(I'm all about having an amazing healer) so unless the enemy can one-hit kill me, they're likely to be healed the next turn. Especially if the white mage has haste on

When it comes to limit breaks, there was nothing more satisfying than seeing that Lionheart after a Renzokuken for me.

Never played FFI, FFII, or FFXI

1. FFVII

2. FFIX

3. FFX

4. FFIV

5. FFVIII

6. FFVI

7. FFV

8. FFIII

9. FFX-2

10. FFXII

There's something about XII that I just hated to the point that I find it even worse than X-2. I didn't give a crap about any of the main characters in that game at all. Made me not care about what happened to them.....and the story was all boring and political.

There was what you could call a "main" clone among the clones, and he is the one that Cloud and the others chase from the start of the game all the way to the northern crater. He had a tattoo of #1 on his arm, he released Jenova, and he killed Aeris. And yes, he was being controlled by the real Sephiroth.

There, that settles who killed Aeris:)

In other words, I was right. It wasn't Sephiroth. It was a clone

Here is an interesting thought. Is Jenova controlling Sephiroth? She certainl.y seems to have some form of control over all that have her cells in her because they all wind up visiting the northern crater, where she was to begin with, at sone point (save Zack, but he did die)

Jenova had control over her cells before Sephiroth's time, but Sephiroth grew powerful enough to control Jenova. This is seen by a few things. All the clones(containing Jenova cells) are controlled by Sephiroth is one example, but the best example would be in the movie: when Kadaj gains Jenova cells at the end, he turns into Sephiroth. This is because Sephiroth has control over Jenova cells and Jenova cells have the power to change shape.

Black materia can only be used by ancients. Sephiroth is not an ancient. MAJOR. PLOT. HOLE.

equimanthorn01

Consider this: The only basis that white materia can only be used by ancients is Aeris said so. While the fact that you only need a large amount of spirit energy to summon Meteor was information taken from the Temple of the Ancients, a more reliable source in my opinion. So isn't it possible that although Aeris said you need to be an ancient to summon Holy maybe she just meant you need a large amount of spirit energy and thought that ancients where the only ones with said amount of spirit energy? Therefore, Sephiroth is able to summon the Black Materia. MAJOR. PLOT. HOLE. BUSTED

If you just need a lot of spirit energy to summon it, then Aerith lied dude. Having spirit energy and being an ancient are not one and the same. If the black materia can only be used by ancients, then there is a major plot hole in the game

It's very possible that Aeris did not lie simply because she didn't know better. Think about how early on in the game that Aeris mentioned this: It was even before Sephiroth even made a dent in the plot(the only mention of Sephiroth at this point was when President Shinra spoke of him before [I believe it was reactor 5] blew up). At this point, only Ancients where known of having great spiritual power so Aeris simply said that ancients where the only ones that could summon meteor.
