wow! look at all that complaining. and for what? the UK PS3 will still be backwards compatible with nearly 50% of PS2 games. most respectable gamers catalog of PS2 games should be contained within the 1000 that Phil said would initially be backwards compatible. so chill!

PS3--yep, despite all the (sometimes warrented) hate thats been swirling the web towards the industry's #1 console manufacturer, there's still enough about the system that makes me want it most out of everything soon to come, such as Lair, Resistance, Heavenly Sword, Assassins Creed, FFXIII, Res Evil 5...oh, and a little game called MGS4 2. Nintendo Wii--and no, not for the motion sensing controller. my biggest reason for wanting a Wii is to play the slew of classic NES, SNES, Genesis and Turbo Grafx 16 games. in all honest thats it for me. i'm not really into handhelds (there goes PSP and DS Lite), extra peripherals (no EyeToy and XBox cam for me), i already have a 360, and i don't game on my PC enough to warrent DirectX10
