Well its called software development it takes time hence why most companies make no announcements basically till the point the game is done.

@Barighm: Star citizen's engine may be cryengine but it has been heavily modified to the point that crytek couldn't really provide support anyway. They can't take cry engine updates without a lot of work to make it compatible

@lulababythe demo is the core of the game, many of the base features are built of that(plenty of hard work went into that demo since he basically had to code the cry engine into something different with just him and a few others. The Dev team are incredibly transparent to the community that is backing the game, sure we don't have the exact figures but the work they do speaks for themselves. Do u know where your money goes when u buy anything doubtful because companies don't give out financial information

But you are saying, or atleast it comes of this way to me, that we are carelessly throwing our money at this with out any thought about what might happen. This in fact is far from the truth personally ive spent more on SC then any other game in total, why because i want this to happen. its all good and well to sit there and say be careful but being careful gets your very little. Chris has built more then enough repest withing the gaming community of the past that most of us are willing to trust him.

oh also Wing commander had "Boring repetitve shallow gameplay" wow u mean like every other games that takes one idea and replays it under varying conditions and circumstances. If a flight sim type game isn't your thing fine but it was still one of the best games to be made in terms of overall.

and just because hes a terrible movie maker means nothing. Micheal jordan couldn't play Baseball all that well but he was still the best player in basket ball. The two have nothing to do with each other

@blackothh @Rizer if u just dived the total by the number of accounts not entirely accurate tho there a plenty of accounts that haven't spent anything on it yet. but some people do spend an insane amount of money on this

@ux1077 always good advice about kickstarter, but SC does have an experiance dev team. and the stretch goals were things planned well in advanced as features always intended to make it in to the game just not necessarily at launch(and things may still not make in time for that)

@sverebom @areial_ace @lulababy not for the PU there won't be, there will be expansions to the Single player tho. But nothing on the online part will cost money if u don't want to spend some

@raduaerosx @lulababy thats the dream but replicating SC's success won't be easy. It still unfortunately remains the exception not the rule

@Daemoroth @areial_ace true but when most people here investment they assume monetary returns, so i try to avoid saying i invested in it as do most Citizens. Ive found it just cause way to much confusion

@sverebom @lulababy And there will always be plenty of people who will be willing to buy credits using Real world money
