If i enter the "option's" menu and select one of the options like sound it keeps pressing down, so i can't pick annything like changing buttons,etc

If i start the saboteur it works perfect but if i go to the menu in-game it is stuck, i can hear the music and all but can't do annything some1 knows how to fix this ?

I bought a new computer and I installed gears of war but if i start it i can play 5 minutes and then it sais not responding some1 knows what to do ?(got windows 7) and stats are OK of my pc
