Well, acording to the following topic and the vids there, the Revenat is only maginaly better than the Vindicator, only killing a bit faster and large ammo capacity, but is terribly inaccurate. Is it really worth it?

I'd recommend the Revenant from the Collector Ship

Pulse Rifle is just a slightly better version of the Avenger, but the Eviscerator shotty is great if you don't have Firepower Pack :)

Is the Geth Rifle even worth getting then if I would get the Revenant? Would it be useful for squadmates?

I am playing my first run on Normal. I don't have the Firepower/Aegis Weapons, but I have the Cerberus Network Shotgun and plan on doing Tali's mission on Hardcore for the Geth Pulse Rifle.

Givn that, which could be the best?

Looks like it is a no on the level cap but I still can't reach 30 anyway. No 51 Squad points for me /images/forum/emoticons/crying.png.

 

 EDIT - After reading up, I found out that apart of Infiltrators and Soldiers, Vanguards too can, if build right, achieve bullet/slowdown time, which would help my aiming. Considering maybe rerolling to Vanguard or Infiltrator now, I'm level 10 or so Soldier at the moment, have only 2 Bonus powers unlocked though, Slam and Stasis. Dunno how I'll do with those two, Adrenaline Rush has been almost a crutch, haha./images/forum/emoticons/grin.png

Ok...this may seem like a dumb question but (since I played ME2 before on a console/gamertag that already passed the game): is the Max level cap of 30 locked on a first playthrough like ME1 or not? Can the max be reached on a first playthrough? I was assuming I couldn't. My current gamertag is new, as the console/gamertag I used before was borrowed from a friend while I got my own 360. Hence why I ask, I am starting in a clean slate.

It is all about min-maxing my first playthrough limit of level 20. Warp Ammo and Disruptor Ammo suplemment each other perfectly.

I asked as well on the BioWare boards and someone made the point that Soldiers get to slow down with any weapon, so I went with that.

This may be my lvl 20 build:

There is a free point I think. I am assuming Bonus Ammo Powers work just as well with the Soldier bonuses. Warp Ammo overlaps with Incendiary Ammo, so it is ok to skip it, I think. Warp handles anything Disruptor can't and vice-versa.

I went ahead and decided that it may be better to never use Blood Dragon Armor. The facial animations get blocked, despite the pimp look. For helmets, I am switching between the 10% extra headshot damage one or the 5% extra weapon damage one, dunno which. Will depend if I go with the Widow down the road, or one of the other two. The 5% seems the better pick for universal boosts though.
