@BuldozerX: You obvioulsy haven't played BF4 then. That game was basically unplayable without an update. Sorry to say, but most devs don't ship complete games. They often need updates to fix issues.

Again, had your profile been set up while you were going through the first patch, you wouldn't have that problem. You didn't complete it. During set up, it asks for your MS account or if you want to create one. That step was skipped in your initial set-up and therefore it wasn't completed. Whoever set it up should have contacted you before shipping it because they didn't complete the process.

I get you're frustrated, I'd be frustrated to get the system and then not be able to play it. However. I think I think you're pissed off at the wrong party here.

One thing I do have to ask: How are you on this site if you don't have access to the internet?

@BlazeOC: "Hypocrite" is the right word. It just amazes me at how people hate on this system and MS for the way the made the product, but are totally fine with these manufacturing principles being used in other products they own.

Plus, it's a $100, really not that much in the grand scheme of things. I don't use my system for music, I'm not going to bitch about paying for something I don't use. I'm not a fan of the rumble feature either, but it's part of the deal.

People have to stop bitching about every little thing and just buy the system they want if it's better for them. If MS were to take the kinect out, then there would be a lot of pissed off people because they do like it and they want it to be supported.

I was one who wanted the DRM and all that, but because of the childish whining based in ignorance and, we were held back. I bring that up to illustrate that MS can't please everyone. For everything you want taken away from the system, someone doesn't want it to change.

Lasts longer for me and I'm playing it a lot. While an indicator would be nice, I often found it not to be so reliable on the 360. Just keep a spare set and you'll be fine.

@BuldozerX: Thing is, you will eventually need updates for games on either system. Is it MS' fault you didn't completely set up the system? No. The system needs an initial update and you need to register your account, then no internet is needed until your game calls for it.

And it will work just like the 360...after you complete the install process....which GT is part of.

@The-Apostle:

So what you're saying is they are the anti-Ted Thompson of the gaming world.

Thanks for the responses. It's funny the people are quick to label me "close minded", So, your saying I must like and support every new innovation that happens in Gaming so I can be open minded? I like what I like plain and simple. I never liked Kinect or any camera based gaming.

I prefer to have an X1 without Kinect because why would I want to pay $100 for something extra I won't use? Also, I'm not a fan of having a camera on me while I'm gaming in my own home. Everyone's home is their own domain of privacy.

I'll probably just have to wait for e3 and hope that MS will be smart enough to announce a X1 without Kinect. Thanks again for the responses, Game on folks!

Why do people accuse MS of ripping them off for making a product with a feature they don't like or use and cry about having to pay for it? Do you bitch about things you don't use in your:

Cell phone?

TV?

DVD player?

Dies in 10 years? You do realize that would mean MS had shut down it's server farms right?

Pretty sure you would have the same problem with a game on any console.

@Murderstyle75:

Makes no sense. There has been no shortage of AAA titles last gen on either system. I get you hat MS, but it's clouding your judgement. For someone who claims not to be a fanboy, you have a funny way of showing it.

Name 3 good things about MS or the X1.....
