It was a dissapointment because there was no storage solution, not pikmin, no wiiware news (I was hoping for a new super mario bros.), no virtual console news, animal crossing didn't seem to greatly impove upon the ds version, no new super mario bros 2, no new IP, no zelda, no kid ikarus, no other franchises returning such as f zero, star fox, or kirby, and no news on games such as monster hunter and disaster.

The motion plus still didn't look that precise, but I want to hear impressions...so I still have hope. I also still have hope that there is more up their sleeve. Following what was said at the conference the main point was to keep the interface fresh and inviting to everyone. So they highlighted games with new interface: animal crossing, shaun white snowboarding, and wii sports 2. It is possible that they chose not to bring up core titles like pikmin or kid ikarus because they are traditional games that will most likely use the wiimote nunchuck combo.

Kid Ikarus has been confirmed to be real, correct? It just hasn't been officially announced, i think.

Here are my pros:

There are pretty much two must have games (Zelda and Metroid Prime 3). Although, there are a lot of really good games that fall just short of must have like Zak and Wiki, Trauma Center, Super Paper Mario. Wii Sports is still really fun IMO. But now is a good time, because a lot of must haves are coming like Guitar Hero, Mario Galaxy and early next year SSBB and Mario Kart. Also, Okami, No More Heroes, Nights, Battalion Wars, Trauma Center 2, and Medal of Honor all have great portential. Basically, a lot of 3rd party developers are switching to wii and it will be getting a lot more games. Spore for example.

The VC is a big deal for me. I have a lot of games that are just pure classic and it is great to have them all a click away.

My family will actually play with me.

Online stuff is free

When the wiimote is done right it is revolutionary.

Online. Games are coming out to support this now though like SSBB, Medal of Honor, Mario Kart, Guitar Hero etc... However it will never be as good as Live. It is however free.

Should I get the premium or the elite?

Also, besides gears of war, bioshock, and halo 3 what games are worth looking at that arent FPS. Is Oblivion that great?

I like trauma center and monkey ball. Although, don't get monkey ball for multiplayer...the minigames suck. Wario Ware is also sweet. Mario Party is only good if you have people to play with, and I do so I play it a lot.
