[QUOTE="ronvalencia"] Where's your benchmarks to prove "Netbooks are usually runs slower in windows platform"? PS; I'm using AMD based C-50/Z-01 Fusion based netbook convertible tablet.ronvalencia
Here's what you need here:http://laptoping.com/ubuntu-11-10-vs-windows-7-starter-on-netbook-benchmarks.html
Anyway, Linux can run much better in netbooks compared to windows. I'm also had been using my friend's netbook and feels very slow even your netbook is using windows 7 starter edition. For netbooks, try lightweight edition of ubuntu like Lubuntu that is using LXDE desktop environment.
Well, Ubuntu runs well on my AMD Z-01 netbook/tablet.
From your link.
You can't watch 1080p Youtube videos on an Intel Atom N550 (as same as on the N570 or other older Atoms), because it will look like a slide show, but 720p is not an issue at all on both Ubuntu and Windows. However, we have noticed that during a 2-minute 720p Transformers trailer there were 35 dropped frames under Ubuntu and only 5 dropped frames under Windows. The number of dropped frames is not significant and you will barely notice them – there are 23-25 frames displayed per second.
TC's wants to have the best Youtube playback.
Your link didn't use AMD C-50 APU based netbook. AMD C-50 APU at 1.0Ghz vs Intel Atom N550 at 1.5Ghz on YouTube 1020p AMD C-50 based netbook beats Intel Atom N550 on Youtube @1080p. AMD C-60/E-350/E-450 based netbooks is faster than AMD C-50/Z-01 APU.
Since your link didn't use AMD C-50 APU base Netbook, your link didn't benchmark IE9's or FireFox 5.x GPU acceleration with AMD C-50 APU.
AMD E-350 APU and 1080p video playback results

Under AMD C-50 and Windows platform, the user can play current Windows games.

Hope and pray Intel Atom N550 can play these current PC games.
Whoa...such a great explanation! BTW, AMD is seems pretty much more better than snail-speed intel atoms. AMD's APU is likely powerful in netbooks, that's why a netbook which equipped amd apu's are pretty powerful compared to intel atom cpu netbooks!
[QUOTE="amirzaim"]I'm had using my dad"s android tablet and able to browse internet without a problem and for tablets, opera is best suite for this type. Netbooks are usually runs slower in windows platform, but with other platforms like Linux, it could be more better if using lightweight desktop shells. It is up to you whether you make you choice, i'm just giving some opnions and suggestions.ronvalenciaWhere's your benchmarks to prove "Netbooks are usually runs slower in windows platform"? Racedriver GRID: Optimized in intel gpus and can run well even i'm had to OC my laptop cpu! Game control gets more responsive compared to play in my desktop which have nvidia gpu on it. Some gpu features makes gaming control gets less responsive.
Devil May Cry 4: Able to run smoothly even with a low FPS with my 1.2GHz single-core cpu laptop! (very low settings)
Need For Speed Hot Pursuit: Not well much optimized, but optimized for nvidia/ati gpu cards and able to run even the PC's system RAM is only 1GB RAM, but at least 2.5GHz dual-core cpu needed. Intel GPUs may have a horrible optimization unless it is patched.
