Beloved by many, the day Halo 3 came out every owner rushed and bought the game. It became the biggest launch in history. The game was incredibly good. Online was completely addictive. They all stayed home playing Halo 3 for months, forgot to buy other games, no more good games came out and the 360 died.

I disagree with 99% of your argument. Even though I believe the Wii isn't a fad, neither is the 360, the 64, PS2, Grand Theft Auto or Halo.

Everything else I didn't mention is a fad. :D
