I believe they think they can get away with it like how the gaming industry stepped over customers with DLCs, Rehashes and Micro transactions. Do they honestly believe customers are going to fall for this one too?
The drifting challenges were damn addictive on the first game. It was exhilarating to pull off slides on tight corners with multiplier going over the roof. I wish you could have elaborated on the drifting part.
The industry should shed more light onto those kinds of games. Exploring new dimensions the medium could still churn out what with the new hardware and competing developers. Abstract concepts could communicate better to the psyche and emotions when utilized and directed to achieve an impact.
