Not much. The person with the phone was careless... not really negligent. What happened was unforeseeable harm - and negligence only applies if a person of reasonable mind did not take any or full precaution of something that is foreseeable .Sajedene
yup, the police cant take any action against that man. its not even that the man was careless.
I remmeber this one topic, this guy posted a picture of himself (think naked "how do I look" guy) and people went nuts with the Photoshop, until his girlfriend showed up in the thread (and yes, she proved she was, in fact, his girlfriend) and posted his REAL naked picture, which was a major fatass with a butterfly tattoo on his butt. It was the best thread on anything on the Internet, ever, and shall remain as such.
...you're walking in front of a bank (that is being robbed), wearing a mask because it's very cold. As you pass the main entrance, the robber bursts out - in the exact SAME attire as yours, even the same mask (both of you are wearing GLOVES, so no fingerprints) - and flings the bag of money across to you. You involuntarily catch it, and at that moment, police cars and officers swarm both of you, and of course, see you carrying the bag. The robber takes off his mask, throws it away, grabs your arm and pretends to have caught you. Now what would you do? (And you can't say, "Hey, what am I doing in this hypothetical situation?")
The craziest thing I've ever heard was a radio ad for a nasal spray about a month ago. Somehow it messes with your eyes and stuff. It's for seasonal allergies and it's supposed to stop runny noses and itchy, watery eyes. The real kicker was the potential side effects. I don't remember all of them, but I remember distinctly the the spray "may cause nose fungus...may also cause glaucoma".
