Shutting down all online play for xbox original titles. I'm not sure about Halo 2, but by now i'm certain Star Wars: Battlefront 2 would be one of the most played titles on the 360 were online play still available.

That's because 5% of the current-Gen consoles (Including redesigns) are backwards compatible and most of them have less then 5% of their entire catalogue available.

Not a lot of people play older games on new systems because their aren't a lot of options, and very few people would agree to HD remakes, because they'd have to pay for them again, as well as issues like what happened with the Silent Hill collection.

I logged in for the first time in maybe half a year just to say DeusEx4Life is going to need some ointment for that burn.
