@Borderlands666 Anyone over 30 who is still a hardcore gamer needs their head examined, I'm not trying to defend the Wii U on all fronts, as it has its limitations, I just hate it when 40 year old neckbeards trash it because kids play it. Video games are for younger people.

@acer7x You own the copy of the game, not the game itself.

I honestly don't care that much how long a new entry in a series takes (although 1-5 years seems most reasonable) as long as it's a good game.

@Addice It would be cool, but extremely difficult to port a portable exclusive to the PC of all things.

@Phange_2 Yeah, and they didn't have to change much either, if they simply got rid of "Wii" from the name and changed the physical design of the console a little, and even keep the rest of the things listed, differentiation wouldn't be a problem.

@Razer361 Don't worry, this certainly wont be as big a jump as the slim was, and could possibly be worse.

"[The Wii] worked, they got lucky" That's hilarious, he thinks the success of a console was completely a fluke. The fact that this guy gets paid to pull this crap out from under him blows my mind.

@MoK86 The wii sold millions of more units than either the PS3 or 360, and I'm not bashing those two, I love my PS3, but the wii was not a fail. And no matter how big in the industry that 7 year old is, he can't change that.

Innovation would be nice, but the industry won't die without it.

He has no idea what he's talking about, tons of people, including myself, like to have the game boxes on display and such. All digital is fine as an option, a mix of both is probably best, but forced digital will fail. Also, piracy may become more dominant if that happens as well.
