No one is going. Just launch consoles in 2014 that way maybe it won't be too expensive for us the consumers. I think Wii U's idea of transfering from TV to tablet is great! I can keep playing without pausing it and still go to the bathroom take a dump and still be playing without any interruption. But Sony and Micro will do something like it, because they were inspired with Nintendo's motion controls to make the Move and the Kinect.
Piracy will still keep on going, like for example you rent a movie or buy a music album then you rip it and then you sell it! Or mod your game console rent video games and make piracy happen! It's not the Internet fault, its nobody's fault. In fact this helps developers to make better ways to make video games. Video game companies knows how to handle this situations, so let them do their jobs and do your job fixing our economy! And don't make another excuse so you can work on something else besides our economy!
I did not find the BF3 console beta to be spectacular, in my opinion it was AWFUL! A lot of glitches, a lot of graphics problems, lots of gameplay problems like when you were sprinting it stoped for no reason then you had to stop touching the RS and then clicking it again so it could sprint, the blue screens, the impossible zone A to get when the game started because every defender was under the damn map killing! For me it was the worst beta ever. Uncharted 3 beta was amazing and it made me want the game even more, this BF3 beta made me cancelled the pre-order and put the $5 in Uncharted3's pre-order. If EA wanted to have great selling numbers they shouldn't made that horrible beta I was going to buy it to try it out but I think CoD still is the King of FPS of this era.
