It's no surprise to me that macs have that many games. What would be a surprise is if many of those games where actually decent. Hell, Macs only got to HL2 a few weeks ago - PC users have had it for the last five years.

And who would pay so much more money for an OS that isn't really superior? I know most Mac users here (probably not many) will have quite a few excuses against that statement, but it's true - if you know what you're doing OSX has nothing over Windows. I'm not calling OSX bad - I'm just saying that it's not better than Windows, especially for gaming. (Although Steam has evened things out a little there.)

Anyway, back to the OP - you'd be mad not to buy the Orange Box. Half-Life 2 is the best singleplayer game I've played and TF2 is one of my favorite online games ever. And let's not forget the wealth of mods for the Source engine (Zombie Master FTW!)

The thought of cheating in MP games hasn't ever really appealed to me... I like to feel that I'm (or we're) winning because I/we have skill, not because we've used something to get an unfair advantage. Although looking at some of the previous posts I can see why it could be fun,, I still won't ever do it.

SP games though? I always do it for a bit of fun, but hardly ever to get past a section I found difficult. It's always fun spawning vehicles in every new place you go to though... but I usually only do it on a second play through.

Well... there's a lot of games that came out before 2007 :). Pretty much - as people have already said, Half-Life and Half-Life 2. They're $10 each on steam, so it's pretty hard to go wrong. That's if you haven't played them, which would be... wierd. If you haven't you really need to, especially the first one.

Oh, and if you like RPGs, TES4: Oblivion is great fun if you haven't played it before.

Haven't heard anything. If they make 3rd person mode the main mode, make the combat less crap, remove the scaling and random loot, make the enchanting/magic not overpowered (at the moment even a crap character plays like freaking god in TES4, no matter how you built it, when you get reflect damage gear etc. It's ridiculous when you power level), make a new graphics/physics engine, improve the animation, get decent voice actors, make the game more complex (Morrowind was good for the complexity etc, Oblivion was good because it was more user friendly. Combine this please). Then I might buy. Honestly, the combat is sooooo crappy. If you fix animations, the overpoweredness, the leveling system (if you just made it require one level up for a boost it would be so much better, jumping through PLAYSTYLE hoops to level properly is just wrong), the third person view, the scaling and the random loot, the over simplicity of it, then the combat would already be 100x better. Then just add precise/strong attacks, block/parry, dodge and maybe balance attacks (hilt strike/kick/punch to open enemy up to attack) and your combat is similar to Demons Souls. Really? You prefer third-person? To me, third-person views mean button mashing and no strategy. I could be wrong, I don't play many third-person games. But I think the combat system's alright - you need a bit of strategy to get it working well, but I think that's good. All of your other points were understandable but I feel that you're being a bit too critical of the game. Maybe you should judge the game by what it has, not what it lacks. Just a question - did you enjoy the game, or not?

Shoot me - CS: Source. I know some people like it, but I don't. Definitely not worth $20, in my opinion.

And a PSP. Very clunky, bug-ridden, single joystick, rubbish browser... I hated it.

Agreed - Last Minute and Not Going Home are brilliant, Aisha too. I like all of the vocal tracks too. In fact, I haven't found a single track that I haven't enjoyed yet... definitely better than 2009.

Anyone else got this album? Anyone even listen to this stuff as well? I just bought it off iTunes, loving it. Just wanted to see if there was anyone else who liked trance...
