So, you are letting your friend think for you, and you felt that this was more than a blog post why?SpruceCabooseDidn't say he is thinking for me. We do have similar tastes in games though, and I've been on the fence about getting a PS3 since hearing about the rumored price drop. I'm just going to wait until KZ2 comes out to make my decision. I have plenty of games to keep me busy until then anyway.

A friend of mine had 3 Xbox 360's (he used 2 as HD Media Center Extenders). His co-worker wanted a 360 and asked if he'd trade him one of his 20GB 360s for a 60GB PS3, and he agreed since he hardly used his 3rd 360. So he's had the PS3 since October and so I asked him the other day how he liked it. His response was, "I basically got it for free, and I'm glad I didn't waste my money going out and actually buying one." I asked him what it was he didn't like about it and he told me he's played almost every "popular" PS3 game from Resistance to Uncharted and that they felt generic, especially the online gaming which he described as "dead" and "disconnected". He said he got Motorstorm 2 for Christmas and he liked it and only wished it was on his 360 so he could actually have fun playing it online.
Sounds like I might not bother wasting my money getting a PS3 after the rumored upcoming price drop after all... unless KZ2 is something really stellar.
No one will have any excuses if there is a price drop. The "it's too expensive!" excuse is definitely out the window if the PS3 drops to $299...._Brennan_
"I already own a 360" is a pretty damned good excuse for 20+ million Xbox 360 owners not hardcore enough to buy a 2nd console for its few exclusives.
I don't get it. I skipped a lot of the N64 era stuff because lets face it, at that time, PC's ruled the gaming world. People have been claiming that Zelda OOT is the gold standard for gaming, so about a month ago I decide to play OOT for the first time.
The game is absolute trash. I could not find a single redeeming quality in this game. The level design is garbage, the story is garbage, the controls are trash, the graphics are garbage, especially when compared to PC games that came out long before OOT.
So what is so special about this game? The fact is, maybe back when it came out the game was "awesome" for a console title. This game has not aged well in the same way that the original Doom has not aged well. Every facet of this game has been done umpteen times better a million times over by now.
If you are that nostalgic for a game to where you can't let go of a crusty, old pile of pixels, you are obviously going to disagree with me and that's fine, but PLEASE try to be a little more objective for the sake of gamers everywhere.
360 should easily outsell the ps3 this holiday seaIson

It already has starting this month. Expect PS3 to drop back a half million by year's end.
[QUOTE="WillieBeamish"]For me, Wraithmarsh just seems scarier... a lot scarier.
