for some reason I thought they did, but it turns out i'm wrong :,(

So I'm thinking about having my local Gamestop repair it... do you guys have any prior experiences with that?

Two nights ago, I was playing Need For Speed Prostreet when a black screen came up saying that the Wii couldn't read the disc, and too restart the Wii. I did that, then put in Madden 07, and after playing for about 10 mins. the same message. I decided to give up on it and go to sleep. The next morning, I put in Need For Speed again, but this time it didn't even show up on the start up menu. When I clicked on the disc channel, it told me that it could not read the disc and too read the troubleshooting part of the manual, which said to clean the disc and retry. I did that, as well as tried 4 other Wii games and 2 Gamecube games, but still no luck. As a last resort, I even took apart the Wii (very carefully) and cleaned the laser lens, but even that didn't seem to help. Is there another possible way to fix it myself, or if I send it to Nintendo, will they accept it (even though I tampered with it), and if so, how much do you think it will cost?

That's curious, where did you read it? (It was actually done before, but it makes more sense in Cursed Mountain context)

I heard from somewhere that when red octane split from activision they already knew that the next GH would have new instruments and hurried rock band into the market to make a quick buck. So it sounds like GH copied rock band, rock band just beat them to the market with their game.
