I agree that glitching is cheap and not fun for anyone. I don't see what's so fun about sitting in a spot and killing everyone else and you're all but invincible. If I wanted to do that, I'd play the single player mode :) It takes the challenge out of playing with real people. Same goes for spawn camping, not a glitch, but still takes the fun out of the game, whether you're the ones getting camped or on the team doing the camping.
I've had my Xbox for over 2 years now and have always stood it up. I got the red ring of course, and so did my friend, who plays his laying down. I don't believe the placement of the system matters with the red ring deal, its a hardware malfunction, if its going to happen, its going to happen.
If you can't decide, rent it. If you like it then buy it. I guarantee you won't get too far into it with the time you have renting it, it's too big of a game. I've done almost all the faction quests (main quest, theives guild, fighters guild, mages guild, dark brotherhood, etc) and I've played it for over 70 hours. I haven't even gotten the DLC yet. Personally, I liked it, but you'll have to decide for yourself, everyone's taste is different.
Call of Duty 4, Rainbow Six Vegas, Halo 3. Take your pick, they're all good. Call of duty and Halo are the most played games, they're a more run and gun. Rainbow is more tactical, people focus more on teamwork and communication. Gears of War is another good one, but it's only 8 player max. I haven't played that one in a while, so someone else might be able to tell you more. Those are the ones I've played, I'm sure there's some more good ones out there, though.
You may think I'm just a stupid redneck, but I like watching NASCAR. I get made fun of by other people, saying it's boring and what not, even though it's one of the most popular sports in America. Other than that, I like to watch baseball and football, in that order.
