Not entirely true. Most western players, sure, but most Chinese + other Asian players are still playing Dota 1.

Very few Dota 2 players have smurfs.

New players will be matched with new players.

Are you serious? LoL has historically been universally considered to be a lot more passive game with less action and hence less kills than Dota 2.

Junglers are the only ones that gank in LoL for the most part (and farming > ganking, in terms of rewards). Turrets are a lot scarier at lower levels so tower diving is more risky in LoL than it is in Dota meaning less tower dives. Also, Dota has things like limited observer wards, smoke of deceit and more powerful early-game scaling for abilities. This mAll that + Flash.

@wexorian This was for the entire Season 2 and the largest tournament only had $2M ($1.97M due to a 30k fine to one of the teams for cheating). Also, LoL is extremely boring to watch IMO.

@Rachaellover That's over an entire Season and it's 100% Riot's money. The Dota 2 community has already purchased $1.6M ($400K of which go towards the prize pool) worth of Compendiums and Dota 2's International this year will have the largest prize pool in e-Sports history for 1 tournament. Also, technically the $2M S2 finals was reduced by 30K due to cheating.

Um... nobody is forcing you to deny any creeps. In fact at the end of a normal match (low-mid levels) the number of denies per player averages out to be like 5-10. Who said you couldn't harass enemies? Auto-attacks actually mean something in Dota and farming isn't herp derp press Q and clear an entire wave from level 1.
