Be thankful that Valve won't handle this situation like Capcom did with Street Fighter III. People waited 6 years for SFIII. But, man, during that wait, there were a boatload of spin-offs.
Well, so far, I do not dislike any game that is well-liked by the general public. I hope it stays that way forever.
By the way, for those of you who say they have "no idea" why people like certain games, I am going to assume that you are exaggerating. All of the well-liked games in this world have some sort of legitimate appeal. If you cannot see that, then you are not trying hard enough.
Well, deapite the fact that I bought a used NES back in 2003 and I do not regret it, I think you should try downloading those older games on the Virtual Console for the Wii. By doing so, you assure yourself that those games will last for a long time. You can never fully trust old cartridges when it comes to data retention.
I'm not going to sugar-coat it; Nintendo's decision to use cartridges for the N64 was garbage. Rah rah, cartridges have no loading screens. That was Nintendo's public reason for choosing cartridges. Their primary motivation was to prevent piracy, which ultimately failed. They lost a boatload of 3rd-party support because of that. Therefore, despite the fact that it has many awesome games, the N64 is my least-favorite of those Nintendo consoles.
Newgrounds has a great slection of music. It's audio portal is a gem.

However, keep in mind that Newgrounds has an assortment of music ranging from dance to rap to metal. If you do not like the lists I've shown you, I'm sure you'll find good music elsewhere on the site.
