@HonorOfGod @Tri-Enforcer Sorry. Read closely: For this year's E3, the company will be holding a closed event for American distributors and another closed hands-on event for the Western gaming media. Iwata will not be speaking at either event. And remember Smash Bros Wii was first revealed at a closed door event at E3. That's not 'small' at all.
@NTM23 @KBFloYd Nintendo will still have a presence at E3 and will show new games. Read the freaking article! The only thing they are cutting out is the hoopla filled conference.
Well at least they will show new games, which is what most of us watch E3 for. Outside of game announcements, what's so special about giving a 2 hour long presentation with segments that show off sales figures and non-games? So yes, Sony and MS will have their conferences, but the only parts of it most of you will care about are just the games shown. Nintendo is just cutting to the chase, without all the filler.
@ScreamDream @yavix I know at Target, you can play the Rayman demo, which I think showcases the Wii U features verywell. You can also maybe try that Rayman demo at Gamestop or even a Super Mario U demo. However, I do agree that all the games shown at the demo stations should be playable and people get turned having to watch only a video and not actually play the game. Another example of Nintendo's faulty marketing of the Wii U. Nonetheless, I have a Wii U and really enjoy it. I hope you can find a playable demo
Well at least Nintendo only went one year of not being profitable, I'm glad to hear they were profitable this time around. I can't say the same about MS and Sony's consoles which weren't profitable for several consecutive years. It was within the last few years they actually started making money off the 360/PS3. Nintendo goes one year of not being profitable and there's all this doom and gloom. Sure...whatever. I respect all consoles and own a Wii U, PS3, 360, and 3DS, so I'm very open minded.
