Since when did it take place after MGS4? Wonder how they will do that or even bother with expaining it.

It was announced quite a while ago that the story was moved to after MGS4. Back when Kojima took the project away from his group and gave it to Platinum. In the recent E3 trailers, the narration also says "After the fall of The Patriots," cyborg technology runs wild.
I like the 1st one. I say Santa Monica should do it. I love God of War but don't you wanna try something different? As far as story goes it could be a prequel or sequel but I think it should be unrelated to Nariko.

I'm a fan, and I'm not hurt by it. It doesn't look "terrible," but what does this have to do with Silent hill at all? That's what pisses me off about this, it could of even been a new IP. There is no need to drag a series name through the mud. Even the monsters look like sometihing from another game, a tree trunk demon that spews fire? What? I'm guessing pyramid head is a boss fight. Well, it's a spin off, and trying something new. I can understand some fan reactions, but I for one don't discourage new approaches, especially with a series that's been around for quite a while. I felt the same with MG Rising.
