Before you upgrade your graphics cards, bare in mind that the Geforce 9 Series is coming out in Q4 2008 and the high end cards should be able to run this at probably 60fps on high.
Why does everyone say Vista is a better gaming platform, apart from DirectX10 compatibility it seems worse, I'm skipping Vista (hopefully) and going straight for Windows 7 in 2010/2011
I'm planning on getting a Radon X1950 XTX, not specifically for this game but because it seems to be the best value card for someone using XP now, or the Geforce 8800 GT, I know I won't get DirectX 10 but if it's a better card at a good price I may go for it. Oh yeah I'm not going to fully upgrade my computer until 2010 - 2012 because I only got mine last year and it seems then will be the time when 32 Core Processors, Windows 7 and DirectX 11 will be out so I don't want to upgrade to vista just yet.
4as "Seems like XP-Very High Quality have sharper looking textures in distance (peculiarly that mountain in the 4th picture, on the first page) while Vista-VHQ have stronger HDR effect and more accurate shadows." I agree and actually think VHQ looks better on XP and it performs better, If this is running on DirectX 9 then I don't see what the big deal is with DirectX 10, but if somehow the game and graphics card are allowing DirectX 10 on XP then It can't be as hard as Microsoft claim.
