My favorite games of the generation: Ps3/360/PC

This generation has been full of some amazing games, and it pains me dearly to have to leave some games out of this list. I'm a really huge fan of story in games and this generation has really delved into providing deeper and more meaningful stories. This list is pretty much in order from greatest to least but some of the decisions were really hard.

Persona 4 Golden

I really didn't see this happening. A game managing to somehow replace Red Dead Redemption as my favorite of the generation. I'm going with my gut instinct here though because I feel that this game has really tied to me emotionally in no way a game has done before. It's easily the best Vita game I've ever played, and easily one of the best games I've ever played. Period. This could be the only game available on the Vita and the Vita would still be worth buying just for this miraculous achievement in gaming.

Red Dead Redemption

Red Dead Redemption... What can I say, you are a masterpiece of a game. Amazing story, long single player, fun multiplayer, a fantastic protagonist that you care for. This game has truly set the standards for all of third person shooters or open world games to learn from.

Grand Theft Auto IV

Brucie, Niko, Bowling, Big Titties, Bullshark Testosterone, Jamacian Accents. A tale of a person coming over to America to live the American dream while trying to escape his past life. Characters that will make you laugh your ass off with their golden dialogue. And, the complete edition is the way to go because it contains the best DLC you can ever get your hands on: The Ballad of Gay Tony.

Uncharted 2: Among Thieves

Has to be one of the funnest games you can ever play. Fantastic story with hilarious characters. Cinematics are oh so beautiful, and it does have a lot to show. The gunplay is really fluid and fun to use. Then there's coop online... I sure did love playing coop arena, tag along with some friends and you'll have an amazing time. I also played the hell out of the competitive multiplayer as well.

Grand Theft Auto V

Although it's only been a few weeks since it came out, I've known since the day I've seen it that this game could top every game I've ever played. While I'm not sure if it can stand toe to toe yet (It'll take many more playthroughs and dozens of hours of more playing to figure out), it's truly game changing. A fantastic story; an immersive, well detailed world that is graphically superior to most of the games out now; and some of the best characters and dialogue to come out in a game. This generation has truly went out with a bang.
