That's a bunch of crap, the PS2 had games in development for it in 2007, the PS3 came out in 2006, your argument is invalid.
It still seems kind of rushed.
No it is not rushed, handhelds have a smaller life span then home consoles, plus Sony made some great games for the ps2 only months before the announcement of the ps3, plus with the new 3DS which will have much better graphics and other features being showed off in e3 2010, if they don't show psp2 then they will be finished.
