@Total_mischief @DaneGamer The original comics didn't have goofy humor, though. That was an invention of the kid's cartoon that came after, but it's not connected with the TMNT's roots at all.
Ugh, I'm a little pissed at all these negative comments about these designs from people only familiar with the goofy cartoons and not the original comics. The TMNT's roots were grim and gritty. Honestly, I applaud this game for having more badass designs for the TMNT, as I favor the original TMNT (the ACTUAL originals, not the kid's cartoon) and I wish there was more stuff out there that was closer to the original stuff (there's far too little of it for my tastes).
Don't get me wrong, I liked the cartoon as a kid, but not for the humor. And for everyone thinking these designs are nightmare fuel? Good. They're mutants. They're supposed to look freaky. Have you ever noticed how humans react to them whenever they first see them? Bah, why am I wasting my breath. All of you people that are complaining would probably prefer the TMNT to fight by throwing pizzas and swiping rugs from underneath their enemies' feet rather than actually using their weapons, anyway.
TL;DR: I hate people saying these are too scary or serious to look anything like the "real" TMNT when they have no idea what the ACTUAL real TMNT are even like.
