It depends...

If it is a 120 Hz LCD TV then no... For 20-30 more you need the Monster 1000 series for that. If it is not, then yes, great way to really enjoy gaming....

Great price for an entry level tv.....

Work in the TV business for more than 6 years now..... You will get ok results from this TV. Reasons.....

LCD that is 60Hz with an average response time of 8ms... When playing games...mainly 360 and PS3... the picture will seem to want to catch up with whats going on... not fun when you are trying to finish that boss off...

Wash out effect.... Does not have options to fix the brightness and color... Can look grey at times and really take away from the game you are playing...

Now, it is a great price and does have 1080p..... SO, how much does the picture quality mean to you.... If you want to really enjoy it and make your friends just look at you with jealous envy.... then this is not what I would suggest. Its basically an off brand of another TV company with the core guts ripped out to save money!

Depending on your set up..... Either go smaller to afford a Samsung or Sony.... Or depending again on set up and lighting... look at a DLP for price! Still one of the best for gaming because refresh rate is no problem at all!!

If you want true HD with flawless motion and sound.... then yes you need HDMI cables. Component Cables are nothing more than an analog cable that takes the three colors and breaks them apart, unlike composite which has all the colors in one..

HDMI is a digital signal which sends both a true HD but also sends up to a true 7.1 sound...... Now, I don't know your set up, but I don't not want to lose any picture or sound from my system.....

Working in the TV business for 6 years now..... Toshiba is a entry level TV with good to ok black levels (very important to gaming) and boost and easy set-up. What I have seen over the years is that they are the highest returned also! Reasons come from, issues right out of the box, pixels going out within 2 months, color is nothing to write home about and just overall enjoyment out of it....

Samsung, unlike stated before, has great black levels. The above mention model is not one I would suggest, but their 1080p models, mainly 71 and 81 series are great for gaming. My 46" 71 series Samsung looks real when playing. I also have a 56" DLP that looks amazing when playing. Depending on your layout, you want to make sure that an LCD is the right TV for you. Low light or lots of windows, do you sit at an angel, how far away do you sit, what are you going to hook up to the tv??

It is a good price but not the one I would go with....... Sony, Samsung or Panasonic are the brands that I would suggest if you plan on playing games and watching movies....

What does it feel like to play on your system????

Samsung 56" LED DLP--Awesome!

Monster 3600 Clean Power System....... Got to keep it clean...

Harman/Kardon AVR335 Receiver with Infinity Tower speakers and rear. Boston Center with a beautiful Velodyne sub 12"

Xbox 360 Elite, PS3 with a Lin. N router and 1 Terybite Westren Digital Extrenal hard Drive...... i like to have a little room to grow.......

Behind the Scenes..... Monster 1000 Series HDMI X 2, Monster Fiber Optic X 2 and 8 gauge monter speaker wire.

Working in the industry has shown me that only the best make it what it is.. Great.....

The online community for the Xbox is great. But, which game for the PS3 is the best for going online?

Have with the above mention.....

30 minutes is the max. I work in electronics and I see gamers come in all the time that have left their xbox on all the time! They get the red rings of death after a few months. Thats about 80% of the time, the other 20% are just common issues. If your coming back within 30, leave it on. If not then shut it down.

Save on energy and save your xbox!! WIN WIN!!

Nothing to offend here! Trying to get a feel for what gamers really think of the system. I game on anything! I just notice that hardcore gamers tend to want to stay away from the Wii. I think its great for parties and Zelda was great!
