All you people keep banging on about graphics! The graphics are fine (I play on both PC and console). The art style is very difficult to compete with... to be honest, the only game I have ever played that equals Destiny's art style in terms of sheer artistic quality is The Last of Us. However, for a game that claimed to be brimming with a universe full of life, a new experience for the players...the game space itself is entirely void of anything remotely interesting, which is FAR more concerning than whether the textures are good or not. Take The Last of Us as an example, even though it's not open-world. The world you traverse tells its own story, while you are playing through your own. Sure it's not open world, but the fine details of place and past events really helped the player to invest in what actually happened there. Other examples are Mass Effect and Skyrim, which are open-world, where the player feels integrated into the game space due to interaction with NPCs, meaningful choices and an ability to go off the beaten path and mould their own destiny (pun intended). I know that Destiny is an MMO, but this type of immersion could have easily been integrated. These kind of things, specially when the game is meant to be an "epic" experience, really are deal-breakers. Gamers want immersion in an experience that promised immersion, not mindless shootin' n lootin'. We already have Borderlands for that, a game which does that very well. I ended my playthrough of the campaign with almost as little information about the game world and the lore as I started with. Nothing on my 15 or so hour journey gave me much insight. Telling me that I have to go and read about the lore online somewhere is just lazy. Destiny has the potential to be a Star Wars level IP, with a whole system of lore and engagement. Currently, it cannot live up to that. I'm awaiting to see if DLC, or maybe a sequel can fully grab my attention.

I agree. British accents are conventional in historical movies but I don't know...for a medium that is supposed to give an illusion of total immersion, I think accents, particularly of ambient noise (chattering NPCs), really help to draw you into the world without the tedium of having to read subtitles over a foreign language. Main characters are OK to have English accents I suppose, better still with the odd foreign word/phrase thrown into the mix here and there. It's something that has really wound me up about the presentation of Unity, whereas Metro actually makes you feel like you're in the middle of a Russian community (kind of). Maybe I'm just too demanding on my paid-for immersive gaming experiences. Sigh.

Hi guys. Just wanted an opinion here. How do people feel about the Russian accents in these games? Personally I loved the touch. A lot going around about the new Assassin's Creed Unity's lack of French accents... apparently everyone is A-OK with having strong British accents for a game set in France. Thoughts and comparisons?

@Sw33tEscape @TheDoovdePlayer Aw cheers mate that's really nice of you. It's ok though, I won't really have much time between now and when the beta closes anyway... work is annoying. How are you finding it?

@Sw33tEscape @TheDoovdePlayer No, not yet anyway. I play on PC mostly. I'm waiting for something really spectacular to draw me into buying a PS4. Why?

Even though they said it is not, this reminds me so much of borderlands (without the humour, wide range of powers or frequent loot).... I was SO hyped for this game but now i'm watching it, it looks just.... meh. Maybe it's just me :P

@rethgryn @gamemaven if the game is meant to depict the real grit of american urban culture, then it wouldn't be a true reflection without mysogeny. Petit can't seem to see that. And cops do get killed...it's not something that happens in stories you know...
