One thing you all dont seem to realize is that Crysis was developed mainly as a SINGLE PLAYER GAME, with multiplayer tacked on.Maybe thats why the multiplayer demo sux! There are a lot of game players who happen to like single player games. If you want to play a multiplayer game then play Quake Wars or Unreal tournament.(BTW the original Unreal was a single player game with amultiplayer gametacked on that really rocked. To bad they dont make games like this anymore!)doktron

Oh yeah?, did you played any of the Call of Duty games released on PC so far?, well, the best multiplayer on its series is Call Of Duty: United Offensive, and of course is one of the best game expansionwith a great multiplayer included..too bad that neither Infinity Ward or Gray Matter didn't released a sort of expansion pack for Call of Duty 2 :(...

Hey Birthamark, is ok that you share some thougts about it, but just one word for you: BETA! ...correct me if i wrong but a Beta is a development stage or level where the game is in test by some users to know whats wrong and whats ok, and even the betas can has a unfinished or not completed features like the full game will have, what im trying to say, that those textures that you seen so far on the beta can be a lot better on the full version(including animations too).
Did u play the first Quake Wars Beta? almost a lot of people with monstrous rigs said that the game looked watered down and the gameplay needed some touches, now with the demo release, seems that Quake Wars is shaping up well which learned from the mistakes of the past...so dont say game, and just say beta plz...

Well, this is a rhythm minigame more like Guitar Hero and is really fun, the songs are cool and great, and will keep you hooked even for hours trying to achieve something on the Pro songs...

I will give you 2 links in case one doesn't work:
http://www.hallpass.com/media/supercrazyguitarmaniacdeluxe2.html
http://www.minijuegos.com/juegos/jugar.php?id=5843

This is not a Guitar Hero game, but is really a hell of a fun...And this for the people who are bored and doesn't have anything more to do...

Play and have fun until Guitar Hero 3: Legends arrives on the PC..

However, SW:BF2 shines in comparison on the control scheme. QW still suffers from the problem that Doom3 and many other FPS games suffer from: having to cycle through your weapons to arm and throw grenades. I also find the fact that you must "verify" (press the "primary fire" button to actually switch) your weapons when cycling."

BewilderedRonin

Well, i played too the Quake Wars Beta and the weapons cycling isnt that bad, is very basic indeed, ok, you got it right in the part of the verify by left-clicking to choose a weapon, but you do that if you use the mouse scroll, so thats why every weapon has a number assigned (similar to Battlefield and Counter Strike games), so your main weapon is the 3, so, simply press the 3 key and you equip fast and automatically your main weapon, or you want the melee knife or strogg arm, then simply press the 1 key to equip it automatically and fast.

On the grenade part, well, you got right too, but cmon dont be lazy, you only have to get used to press the 4 key (grenades) and then left-click (shoot), but im with you on the grenade throwing with one key.

I didnt get what you say about the objective-based missions comparison you make between Quake Wars and SW: Battlefornt 2. But i know that SW: Battlefront 2 is a conquest game or a objective based on capturing command posts (just like Battlefield), and then you got Objective based mission on Quake Wars that can be different and variable, like destroy, hack and construct, they are completely different but both are great. So on, i played the Quake Wars BETA and i think is fine, or good, i enjoy all of its features and army clases, but i get just a little bored because is just one map. I remember that i had a really great fun experience with Return to Castle Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory, cuz when your team and enemy team follows and try to acomplish their main objectives, the battles get really fun and intense, thats why it has so much players whose are still playing it, or you want to check it out?, well here you got http://archive.gamespy.com/stats/

Im agree with BounceDk, not all the gamesthat havethe label "Games for Windows" onthe boxare meant to be Vista (DirectX-10) only...those games with the label of "Games of Windows" are games that are compatible with DirectX 9 and DirectX 10, sometimes DirectX-10 only, but not always, and then they are also compatible with the xbox-360 controller, and published by Microsoft (sometimes, like Halo 2 and Shadowrun), just take a look at the box of Company of Heroes and Lost Planet, they have the "Games for Windows" label but they'r not Vista only, they are compatible with Windows Vista but not exclusive, Lost Planet supports xbox-360 controller but Company of Heroes is mouse only and its not published by Microsoft....so on...make your conlusions..

Cmon people, both games HL2 and Far Cry are great on their concepts....i think is true that Half-Life has a great story, i think better than any other, and its gameplay, althought is linear, is really fun and great, like killing headcrabs and using the crowbar, never gets old...and Far Cry is a great game too, just for the concept that you are free to choose your own paths on a jungle or island and kill, kill those rough mercenaries....If some of you guys are making a HL2 vs. Far Cry, thread...my score to this...is a tie...both games are really great
