Okay so the title kind of says it, i'm in the market for a new laptop. I consider myself pretty knowledgeable when it comes to computers and such, but there's still a lot I don't know. I know that if you're a really serious gamer, that you should get a tower for pc, but I also need a computer for school, and I need the portability. Don't jump down my throat about how PC's are better suited for gaming than macs, I know that too. My issue is, like I said, portability and function. As I also need this laptop for gaming, I also need it to be portable, and for school. The two computers that I am looking at are a Sager notebook, and a Macbook Pro. The specs are as follows: Sager : http://www.sagernotebook.com/index.php?page=product_customed&model_name=NP9150-S Macbook Pro: http://store.apple.com/us/browse/home/shop_mac/family/macbook_pro If I got the mac it would be one of the 15 inch models, with at least 8 gigs of ram and the 650m with 1 gb of gddr5. The prices come out roughly the same. I suppose my question to you guys is this: If I got the macbook pro, do you think that the GT 650m with 1 GB of GDDR5 would be sufficient enough to satisy my gaming needs? and would the loss to the graphics be made up for in the portability and functionality of the macbook pro? I consider myself a pretty extensive gamer. I play bioshock, command and conquer, crysis on occasion, cod, assassin's creed, etc. With some of the higher end games like Crysis 3, would the graphics still hold relatively well? I'm switching over from console gaming to pc gaming because it's just better. Would the graphics with the macbook be better than your average console graphics? Haha I don't know if any of that made sense at all, but if I could get some insight that would be awesome. Like I said, I know that the sager would be the definite choice for straight gaming, but what about school work and portability? Do you think it would still hold up? If you guys could let me know what you think, that would be fantastic! Oh and this is my first one of these, so please be nice :)
