I think its really a matter of taste on the genre, I personally think it looks graphically amazing and I think the game play is exciting. There are definitely a lot worse games. At least you can press a button during the rope sequence, most games would just have you watch the cinematic parts and do nothing. I love the demo and can't wait for the real thing.
It really is unfair, the Xbox came out way before the PS3 yet everyone compares them as if they came out at the same time. Yet still the Xbox doesn't have that many great games either. PS3 has some bomb games coming out: Unreal, Final Fantasy, MGS, Resident Evil, Kill Zone...you just gotta be patient while the developers get a feel for creating amazing games on an amazing system. With so much new technology to be used in the games it has to take some time to get everything right, but they will. Patience is the key.
