Although you don't need a HDTV to play an Xbox 360 you will certainly get a better picture.
Either I wouldn't let you put off getting one, I mean Graphics are good but for me at least they come at the bottom of the list of things I look for in a Gaming System. However if you want a better experience looking towards your 19" LCD would be good and you don't need to worry about HDCP as that's not used on the Xbox 360.
I hope that helps.

I don't think it was rushed and the Elite nor the HD DVD proof that.
I mean you can either wait to see which Technology takes off or you can go ahead and launch and the latter is what they chose. I mean the mere fact that niether HD DVD nor Blu Ray has "won thw war" shows to me at least that delaying a console for what 10 Months now? Simply on a basis of the riught optical drive was defiantly a good idea.
As for HDMI, it's a mute point for a lot of people and as for the Elite the main attraction to that is Black and Larger Hard Drive. So I think the Xbox 360 was not rushed it got in at the right time and it's reaping the rewards.
Personally the Elite should of been the Entertainment Version which should of included everything including HD DVD and they should of launched it on the Eve of the IPTV Launch with Noise Reducation HArdware aswell. That wouldn't of shown any failing but it would of been an oppuntuniry for them to give the Audio/Videoohiles everything they want. An Hub for all their Needs and I don't think the LEite on it's own gives it them, unforutnatly.
So yea Xbox 360 wasn't rushed but I think the Elite was.

[QUOTE="yankeefan57"]

totally, its one of the sleepers of 2007

Staryoshi87

Shadowrun isn't a sleeper, it had tons of hype, as it was the first GFW-Live game.

Yea which would of been something to be proud of, if it didn't require the Hog that is Vista, I mean if this was Windows XP Compaitbale(natively) I reckon it would of got a lot more press. But because it chose Vista people refused to sign up.
I don't think it got enough Press to be honest and I think it was for that exact reason, the cross platform scenerios isn't somethingt to be proud of when running it on a Buggy Vista.
That Said I got it for Vista...lol
