OK so this is the worst place in the world to do this ... but yes I've had a RROD, and I think you can tell from our previous conversation that I'm being truthful :)

(ie no love for Sony and playing the MS fanboy!)

[QUOTE="vitz3"]Yes. Because you totally showed me and put me in my place with the fact that some Company that doesn't care about you made more money than God last month.XanderZane

You mean Sony? They actually did make a nice profit last year. ;)

All 3 did, I think he meant he didn't care about sales

[QUOTE="Jynxzor"]So one insurance company does a small sample and it's truth? anything over 5% is shamefull anyways.ZIMdoom

1000 isn't a small sample.

It is when they only sampled their own clients. Its not like they did a national random poll. And if you read the article, they say that RROD only accounts for 60% of that 16%. In other words, they say RROD only affects 10% of 360s

This is deceptive posting on the part of lemmings and a display of their willfull ignorance on the RROD issue. There is no way RROD only affects 10% of all 360s. All this proves is that only 16% of the people who buy 360s in the area of this company, return them to the company when they break. Further, it only tracks the people who get warranties from this company, wherever they operate, and decided to use that warranty to fix their 360 instead of calling MS directly.

what facts do you have to back that up?

[QUOTE="Teh_Bob"]correct me if i'm wrong but hasn't the 360 sold almost twice as many units? It still has some catching up to do there. ZIMdoom

So? What does that have to do anything? How does that rebut a single thing I've said?

oh. it doesn't. Nice attempt at building a straw man though.

and what does world sales have to do with NPD then? If you want to say that for a few months worldwide the PS3 is outselling the 360 (although if you'd figured the LAUNCH OF THE PS3 IN EUROPE as to why it sold more last year) worldwide why is it irrelevant to say that the 360 has double the overall sales of the PS3?

I will answer your question with another question: What would you think if I responded to your 360 total sales by pointing out that the 360 is nowhere close to the total PS2 sales? ANd when you combine total Sony CONSOLE sales, the 360 is a drop in somebody else's bucket.

We can go around and around all day long. The point is NPD's latest monthly sales and what will happen if the PS3 beats the 360. I gave an answer and you responded with kneejerk fanboyisms like "BUt but teh 360 still has more total!" Who cares. The topic at hand is whether or not PS3 outselling the 360 in NA is more/less/or equal ownage to 360 outselling the PS3. I gave my response.

I would say that the 360 is never going to catch the PS2 and I'm not going to go mad and crazy when the 360 outsells it for a month.

So I see cows posting about how lemmings will be owned hard if the PS3 outsells the 360 this month. Does the same apply to cows if the PS3 fails to outsell a 360 with supply problems? Or as usual do the rules only apply one way?

ZIMdoom

Since your bleeding for an answer. It will not be owned hard, for lemmings to be owned hard the PS3 would have out sell it by massive amounts of numbers.

Like Obama winning states as hillary getting her clocked cleaned owned hard.

You do realize the PS3 is already outselling the 360 in terms of world wide sales, right? NA is the only thing keeping the 360 sales afloat.

If PS3 takes away NA from the 360, the 360 has nothing.

correct me if i'm wrong but hasn't the 360 sold almost twice as many units? It still has some catching up to do there.

Dog biting man isn't news...but man biting dog certainly is.

Why would it be ownage if the 360 once again outsells the PS3? It's been doing that in NA every month. It's just the norm right now.

because, as I said in the first post, 360 had supply problems.

According to who? I keep seeing this, but I've never seen nor read any such news story. Further, I see no such evidence of a supply shortage in stores. Are we expected to believe that when MS reliably sells 200-300,000 consoles a month since launch, and they were able to meet a massive holiday demand, they suddenly can't meet demand during one of the slowest console sales months of the year?

Basically, MS can meet demand on November and December...but not January which is significantly less?

DO you have a link to an actual news story, or actual quote from MS, saying there is a shortage and why? Because I don't buy it.

You've got me there. I was just seeing what other people had posted. Think I read something about it on a link someone gave from that banana Prachter.

[QUOTE="Teh_Bob"][QUOTE="NielsNL"]So? You're a part time fanboy rather than a full time one. And the only difference between this thread and the other is that the other one is trying to start a discussion with a relative normal tone whereas yours is more of the cowbashing sort. You already were doing some cowbashing in the other thread so this thread doesn't offer anything new. NielsNL

you're being too reasonable! I'm a part time gamer comapred to how I used to be I suppose, and come in here every now and again. I didn't think I was doing anything out of the ordinary for SW. SW is only interesting around big events and I just think its funny how fanboys spin things. Basically I can't understand how it can be ownage if the PS3 outsells the 360 but then people get all defensive and as you can see from this thread refuse to answer the question about whether it would be the same if a supply restricted outsells a PS3. Thats not an unreasonable thing to ask, just people seem to get mad when they don't like what the answer is. I do notice that whether it be games, sales or news cows seem to think a different set of rules apply to them.

Okay I'll respond on topic then. Personally I don't care about sales although it's good to see the system you prefer doing well, which is natural I suppose. The spin you mention amuses me too. One major flaw in your reasoning though, is the assumption that lemmings don't claim ownage over cows when the NPD numbers favour them. Actually that assumption to me also qualifies as the spin you claim to find amusing. Aside from that you are taking the spin even further by trying to set up future claims of ownage over cows by mentioning the supply shortage.

See why I call you a fanboy now?

I play up the fanboy side, no point being neutral in a war! I really thought that was part of the "charm" of SW. I find it all amusing and you probably should take what I say with a pinch of salt.

haha now that was an interesting comment.

not really, just avoiding the point. If you don't care why come to SW?

but see here's your problem, you've made no point.

orly? heres your problem, you don't want to answer it so you pretend its not there
